Top Wines for Thanksgiving
Tuesday | Nov 6, 2018

Whether you want a full-bodied blend to go with your bird, or a whimsical white bursting with fruit flavors, we have the perfect choice for your holiday dinner.  Check out our full list of the wines we’re recommending for this Thanksgiving…

2016 Bassano Blanc de Blanc $12
A dry, modern sparkling wine produced from Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Trebbiano. It has bright floral aromas and fresh, soft fruit flavors with delicate, persistent bubbles.

NV Fruhling White Blend $15
Riesling, Sylvaner, & Muller-Thurgau. Green apples and citrus fruit aromas make way for the clean acidic driven palate with a medium yet intense finish.

2017 Left Coast White Pinot Noir $24
This wine has aromas of white cherry, nectarine, peach, citrus, and beeswax. Its rich mid-palate is elegant with flavors of spiced pear, ripe honeydew, and a mineral finish.

2017 Tommasi Lugana Trebbiano di Lugana $17
Moon yellow color, the perfume is clean and spicy, highlighted by delicious hints of tropical fruit. Medium-bodied taste with a clean, crisp finish.

2016 Famille Brocard Chardonnay $16
100% unoaked! Opens with a bouquet of lemon/lime, fresh peach and minerality. The acidity accents the fresh, zesty flavors and it finishes cleanly with accents of green apple.

2016 Foris Dry Gewurtztraminer $16
It opens beautifully with aeration and is true to variety without the impression of cheap perfume, emphasizing spice and showing plenty of ripe quince, pineapple and jicama.

2017 Les Violettes Cotes du Rhone Blanc $14
This blend of Viogner, Roussane, and Marsanne is quite fruit forward. Flavors of tropical fruits, white peaches, citrus, and almonds are followed by fresh acidity and minerality.

2016 Liesl Pinot Noir $19
Nose of red fruit, baking spice and fresh rain. Opening of red fruit favoring cranberries and red apple with cinnamon, allspice, and granite. Light-plus bodied and plus acidity with light velvety tannins that emerge slow but linger long.

2017 Elena Walch Schiava $17
Bright ruby in color with a delicate hint of cherry on the nose. On the palate, it is harmonious and elegant due to naturally mild acidity and ripe tannins on the finish. An elegant, fruity red wine with good lengths.

2011 Federico Bonfio ‘Le Portine’ Sangiovese $16
Unmistakably Italian with classic sour cherry and low toned tobacco with that Tuscan sweet herb tinge. Its maturity shows in its developed tertiary hints of cashew and sundried tomato, adding a deep complexity that often only comes from cellaring.

2016 Burgo Viejo Old Vine Garnacha $12
Deep and brilliant cherry color; red wild berries, violet and subtle spice on the nose; the taste sensation is rich, long, and very smooth.

2016 Jolete Pinot Noir $28
Enticing aromas of spiced raspberry, cherry and sweet tobacco; a medium-bodied palate with notes of boysenberry and ripe Oregon Hood strawberries, mingled with an underlying hint of orange peel; a crisp and welcome drive of acidity on the finish.

2015 Mommessin Moulin a Vent $24
Intensive, floral and fruity with dominant blackcurrant, black raspberry, licorice, violet and cinnamon aromas. Great length with lasting intensity on the palate. This wine is perfect with all types of food.

2016 Injuste Red Blend $12
42% Grenache, 44% Syrah, 14% Old Vine Carignan. This wine is rich with fresh fruit aromas. The taste is dark berries and mocha with long soft tannins.

2016 Yorkville Cellars Hi-Rollr Red Blend $18
On the palate it is a lively wine with rich flavors of cherries, boysenberries and warm spices, all backed with bright acidity and a satisfying finish. This comes together to create a real crowd pleaser.

2017 Domaine du Bois de Saint Jean “L’Intrepid” Cote du Rhone $16
50% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre, 5% Carignan. Aromas of candied black fruits, sweet spices and bramble come from the warm climate. The palate is rich, warm, and round.

2014 Chateau Haut Barade Petit Verdot $14
Deep dark and inky in the glass. Dark blackberry, cassis and herbs on the nose with a rich and well-structured palate.

2015 Chateau Maison Neuve-Cuvee Clotilde-Bordeaux Cotes de Blayes $19
80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas of red fruits, spicy and finely woody, supple and round attack, mouthwatering, a feminine side, soft and fine tannins and a nice length on freshness.

2015 Big Smooth Zinfandel $16
Very ripe and saturated in flavor, this wine lives up to its name and velvet-finish label. It is full bodied, mouthfilling and nicely viscous in texture.
